Elena Gregorio, LCSW
I am a psychotherapist with a background in clinical social work. From the time I began studying social work, its philosophy resonated deeply with me: it is client-centered and strengths-based with an emphasis on dignity for all, regardless of background or identity.
In the past few years, social justice issues have occupied a more prominent (and long overdue) role in many personal, community, and larger conversations. I value the dismantling of systems of oppression in its many forms, and am supportive to clients if they choose to engage with these topics, whether or not they wish to bring them to the therapy space.
I like to think my professional self includes some vital elements of my personal self, including humor. While therapy is stereotypically heavy and serious, it can also bring opportunities for laughter. I look forward to meeting you and establishing a solid therapeutic connection.
